Gorse Fires Across Connemara

Fire crews from Galway and Clifden were batlling gorse fires across Connemara this week, with fires breaking out yesterday on hill sides in Derryinder, Moyard and Roundstone/ Ballyconneely. These areas are grazing areas and are not residential areas.
Fire services have spent much of this week working to quench fires which have wreaked havoc across the region, with fires also reported in Oughterard earlier in the week.
