In the Quaker village of Letterfrack the annual Conamara Bog Week 2011 festival starts Friday May 27th and finishes Bank Holiday Monday June 6th.
This is the 27th year of the festival and the organisers Conamara Environmental Education and Cultural Centre are promising an exciting line up as usual.
Ten-day multi-layered authentic festival - a celebration of landscape. Connemara walkabout, Fun Run, etc. Lots of traditional music with the Kane sisters, Mick Kinsella, Dessie O\'Halloran, Mary Staunton, Tola Custy, etc. Music and sean nós dance workshops, art exhibition in Connemara National Park. Vibrant schools programmes are also part of the week
