Walk Connemara offers various types of walks and tours, guided or self-guided. Walks range from beaches and easy trails (e.g. Maumeen & the Killary) to hill walks (e.g. Diamond Hill, Tully & Leenane), full day island trips (Inishbofin & Inishturk) and challenging mountain hikes (12 Bens, Maumturks, & Mweelrea).
Experienced guide, Paul Phelan, is author of the hugely popular "Connemara and Mayo - a Walking Guide" which is available locally.
Individuals or small groups can join a scheduled walk. Special customised day, half day or multi-day guided walks can be programmed for you or your group. We are also available to assist with maps, transport, food, accommodation and other logistics. Walk Connemara can also arrange walks around various themes or features e.g. archaeology, heritage, history, geology, birds, bogs, caves, mountain passes.
